I love how God works.
The right song plays on the radio at just the right moment.
A Sunday school lesson addresses one particular need.
The message from a pastor's sermon touches a heart that needs healing.
Only God can orchestrate so many different pieces into such a beautiful symphony.
How long will it take to realize that only God has all the answers I need in my life?
How long will I continue to chase dream after dream instead of following my Lord?
When will I realize that God and only God must take first priority?
Husbands can leave.
Children grow up and move away.
Family and friends can let us down.
God always loves us.
God will never leave us.
God wants us to come running back to him.
We all have so many balls up in the air. Balls which demand that we catch them, else they all come raining down upon our heads. Marriage, children, jobs, family, friends, social obligations, and more demand our time and energy. Some demand more than others, and sometimes they demand more than we have available to give.
What if... What if we put God first in our lives? What if we give all our cares and worries to Him? What if we made our main focus building our relationship with the Creator of the universe?
Don't get me wrong. I love my husband and children. I love my family and friends. Somewhere along the way, I put my status as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, friend, etc in positions of greater importance than being a child of God. At some point, I realized how alone I had become. Now, I know why. So, let me re-introduce myself...
Hello, my name is Maggie, and I'm a child of God.
