I mean to write, I really do, but life happens.
The kids go back to school tomorrow. Already?!? Where did the Christmas holidays go? For that matter, where did 2008 go? I guess they weren't kidding when they said time goes faster the older you get, but then why does my 12 year old say this year (oops, last year) went by so fast? She's not old.
Speaking of my children... what's up with them? Hadassah is 12 and half-way through her last year of elementary. Her teacher nominated her for the National Junior Leaders Conference, and the one she chose to go to is Discover Medicine. We're thinking about junior high... has it really been that long since she was sitting in Grandpa's lap drawing little circles in the blanks on his crossword puzzles?
Michael is already 8. I know it couldn't have been that long ago when he was born, and we had the twins come live with us... at this very age! Michael even starts taking the state standardized tests this year, which of course, he should have no problem with. Wasn't it just yesterday though that he started kindergarten at Austin?
Kindergartners... I already have another one of those as well. I was just holding Kimberly trying to get a view from my hospital window of the July 4th fireworks being set off at the end of the Rangers' game. She's already in kindergarten.
Then, there is Erin Dominique (peace, belonging to the Lord) who went to play with angels and Grandpa, on his birthday. That does seem like ages ago though.
Of course, I can't forget little Stephan. My baby boy, who apparently isn't going to stay a baby either, is going to be 3 in only a few more months. My little jellybean, isn't so little anymore. He'll probably even be going to pk-3 next school year.
They grow up so fast, but I have so many memories (as I'm sure you all do), and I'm looking forward to many more memories to come. However, it is late, so I'll just have to write another post on everything that is happening around here.
